Curious about sourdough but not sure where to begin?
This two-hour class is designed for absolute beginners.
You will watch the entire sourdough process unfold, from starter to scoring, with clear demonstrations and time for questions. You will also enjoy a guided tasting and leave with more than knowledge: a fresh-baked loaf you scored yourself.
✨ What to expect:
• A talk about sourdough: what it is, how it works, and how to know when your dough is ready
• A full demonstration: mixing, stretch and folds, shaping, and scoring
• A live aliquot test so you will see exactly when bulk fermentation is done
• Hands-on scoring practice and your own loaf to take home and bake
• A guided tasting of sourdough breads, bagels, a cinnamon bun, and one of our signature cookies
🍞 You will leave with:
• A fresh-baked sourdough loaf
• A dried sourdough starter pack with detailed instructions
• A simple, reliable sourdough formula to practise at home
You will also learn why sourdough is different from most store-bought loaves: better flavour, better keeping qualities, and a gentler effect on your gut.
If you have tried sourdough before but struggled, bring your questions. This class will show you exactly what each step should look and feel like. Whether you are curious or committed, you will leave feeling confident and inspired.
